Cap'n Crunch Shake
I just got one of these at Carl's. I don't remember who I heard about it from (well, I know Sarah told me, but someone told her and I asked if they were high) but it's actually not incredibly bad. I'd opt for more crunch and less ice cream though.

Few Updates
I should really post more often...anyway,
I changed my gamertag from "GentooUser" to "teh ethergeek". I was getting tired of the former. The new one is to the right.
Xande is now eating fuzzies. I fed him one last night and was actually amazed he could eat it...it's twice the size (diameter) as he is.
Me and Sarah (I just noticed if I type sa and let muscle memory type for me, I type satan, spooooky) are now cat people...we got a Siamese kitten through SAFE. She's 5 months old, and she was fixed and vaccinated when we got her. So, if anyone in Tucson is looking for a cat, give them a visit. Here's Guinness:
Remember the HDMI switcher I got from monoprice.com for under $40? I dunno if I even posted that...uhm...shit. I didn't. Anyway, I've got my entire home entertainment system running through it now (my 360, my DVD player/HTiB system, ComCrap HD PVR box) and my tv running the audio back via a TosLink cable to the HTS. Everything's digital, 5.1 sound. All is right with the world. Oh, and there's still a spot open on the switcher for a PC or a PS3 :)
I can't think of anything else to write...

Pocket PC IM Client
So I went looking for a new freeware pocket pc IM client to replace Agile and IM+ (since they cost money I don't wanna spend on software) and Octro (since I don't know if they'll stay free, and you have to use their server to use other services) and stumbled across Slick by Lonely Cat Games.
So far it's pretty awesome, no real bugs, works on WM5 and WM6 and Symbian.
Check it out.

Opera Mini 4, Intent Midlet Viewer, Esmertec Jbed, AT&T Tilt
So I've been using Opera Mobile 4 for some time on my Tilt. When I switched the ROM over to the stock HTC ROM awhile back, I sorta lost my ability to use Opera Mini and GMail midlets on my Tilt using the Esmertec Jbed midlet container. It always told me I needed a data connection to use either one of the apps (I have an unlimited data plan, fyi) and failed out. Same way with google maps (sometimes, not always).
Well, awhile back I read a tip about turning off the proxy server (wap.cingular.com) on my MEdiaNet connection to improve performance. Now, I didn't really see an improvement in performance, but didn't see any degradation either, and as having no middleman is better, I nuked the proxy setting on the device.
Well, awhile back, but awhile after the aforementioned awhile back, I was racing browsers against someone at work on Verizon and noticed that Opera Mini was behaving slower than IE was. I wanted to know why...given Opera PPC beat the pants off of IE in the round 2 of the race.
I couldn't sleep last night, so I was looking into this. I loaded up my old Jbed midlet container because I wondered if the connectivity issues I had before with it were related to the proxy issue (they were) and it connected fine to Gmail...so I reinstalled Opera Mini into the Jbed midlet store and ran it...not only did Opera Mini start up faster, but it loaded pages *much* faster also. GMail was faster too.
So, I uninstalled the Intent Midlet manager I picked up over on xda-developers and used the Jbed installed in the ROM. I'd recommend that anyone who took my advice before and installed the Intent Midlet viewer remove it, fix the proxy settings, and use the Jbed one.

My First LOLcat
So I've never done one of these and given the latest news in the media and my new download of Photoshop CS3, I went a little nuts...
Here's how to avoid an invasion of your country before it happens...

Fuzion Frenzy 2
This game is patently retarded. I don't get this game...it's a tournament of mini-games? Shit, I'd rather fuck off and play quarters or something.
Anyway, if you're thinking of feeding this game into your 360, don't bother :)

MySpace annoyances (and how to remove them)
If you want to block MySpace styles and not skim this whole post, click here. You'll need Greasemonkey and Firefox. See how much I love you all, saving you the pain of reading my rant?
So I had this conversation last week with this girl, who for all intensive purposes, doesn't really think about anything but herself, and not in that cute narcissistic way that is the foil for my legendary arrogance.
Basically, her point of view is that, I shouldn't be able to remove the styles from her MySpace page in my browser, because she spent so much time copy/pasting those "codes" (a very, very simplistic use of CSS sneaked into style tags in html...their use is really an injection attack per se, because they get onto the pages via a form field designed for simple text) into her profile. Somehow, I should be forced to view her page as she intended.

Here's the basic conversation:
- Me - Ohh...yeah, I don't see any of that crap on [your MySpace]...I use this cool greasemonkey script
- Her - WHAT? You can't do that...I worked really hard on my page.
- Me - Good for you. Your cluttered page annoys me, so I let my browser re-write it on the fly and remove all your junk from it so I can see the information I want.
- Her - But...my codes hide things I don't want everyone seeing...like my friends list and my pic comments.
- Me - If you don't want them being seen, don't have a MySpace account.
- Her - Not having a MySpace is social suicide.
- Me - Then accept the ramifications of your actions.
- Her - I don't care...it's wrong to mess with my page. Don't go to it if you don't like it.
- Me - Look. [redacted]. Do you think it's ok to block advertisements in a web page?
- Her - Of course not. The site owner put them there, you should respect their work. Besides, I might want to buy something in the ad.
- Me - What about the ads that make you look at a 18 inch cock trying to pitch big-dick-pills at you on sites that have nothing to do with dicks, pills, or even things that happen to be 18 inches long, like a short katana?
- Her - Well that's wrong.
- Me - My point exactly. All that sparkly shit on your page is like a gigantic 18 inch dick in my browser window. I don't want to see it.
- Her - It's not the same!
- Me - Yeah...I'm taking you off my friends list.
- Her - [silent]
- Download Firefox. Get the latest version. If you're already using it, skip this step. If you aren't sure, you're probably using another browser. If you want to kill yourself constantly, you're probably using Internet Explorer.
- Get the Greasemonkey add-on and install it.
- Get this Greasemonkey script and install it.

Pearl Harbor Day
So this day in 1941, the Japanese sneak-attacked Pearl Harbor. I think this day should really do two things:
- An excuse to flaunt our victory over the Japanese. All in fun though, because we all know the Japanese are cool...and Japanese girls are teh uber sexxy ^_^
- A reason to give all of the middle east, the collective finger. They need to look at the Japanese for an example of what happens to people who fuck with this country.

Randomness
So I don't want to write a long post cuz I'm kinda busy...so here's a few things on my mind:
That's all I really have...
- So this football player dies on the table from a femoral artery bleedout...how does this happen? At some point can't doctors figure out that the leg is a lost cause, hemostat the artery and just start amputating the leg?
- Dick Cheney has heart problems...again...does anyone actually CARE?
- This "Baby Grace" thing...by all means let's turn it into a media circus, again...but this time, let's tell the world who she really is and hope for a different reaction?
- Megatokyo has gotten totally boring lately. The webcomic has lost its touch I think...if anyone wants a new one, check out Questionable Content...google to find it; I'm too lazy to put a link.
- Properly made white russians are the shit!
- So is eggnog with Jack in it.
That's all I really have...
